Choose a Size

The Bonnie Gathered Cami Top is made to slip on and go. Designed with spaghetti straps and a gathered elasticated neckline, it sits loosely away from the body for an oversized fit. Make the mini length for a barely-there cami, or the full length to sit at the waist. Wear it as a PJ top, a summer tank, or make it strapless for something a little more elevated. It’s easy like that.

Sewing Level
This project is suitable for confident beginners. Techniques include French seams, rolled hems, sewing an elasticated neckline, plus gathering if you choose the ruffled hem option.

Fit Notes
This pattern has a relaxed, easy fit - choose the size closest to your measurements, and size down if you’re between sizes.

You Will Need

  • Main fabric
  • 1cm (3/8") width elastic
  • Matching thread
  • Basic sewing tools such as fabric scissors, chalk, iron etc.
  • Optional for the ruffled hem style: approximately 2 meters of 6mm wide elastic to help with gathering, this method is only shown in this YouTube videohere. The written instructions show how to gather the ruffles using only your sewing machine, so if you use this method, you don’t need the extra elastic.

Fabric Recommendations

  • Light to medium weight woven fabrics with little or no stretch. For beginners, it’s recommended to choose a non-slippery fabric that won’t fray a lot. Examples include linen or cotton plain weaves, poplin, lawn or gauze. Silk, viscose/rayon or polyester wovens with some drape can also be used and will be slightly more difficult to sew.

You will receive all three size sets in layered PDF documents for A4/Letter or A0 printing.

This pattern comes size sets, each set has 3 sizes included:
Small Set: US0, US2, US4
Medium Set:US4, US6, US8
Large Set: US8, US10, US12

Therefore, when picking off sizing, you will only need to pick size US6 and 8 from the Medium Set and US10 and 12 from the Large.
Custom file formats (such as full nests) are not available with this license, but they are available with the Commercial Unlimited license.

  • The pattern is layered so you can select and print one size only with Adobe Acrobat Reader. This is free to download here. Otherwise, you can print all three sizes at once with any other PDF reader. Most computers already have one installed, such as Mac Preview or Microsoft Edge.
  • All seam allowances are included.
  • The pattern lines are in black, with different dashed lines for each size.
  • The pattern pieces are printed as full pieces, but there are notes on which page numbers to print if you want to cut on the fold instead.
