FAQ

Can't find the answer to your question? Please contact us and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Orders

Unfortunately there are no changes or cancellations to orders once placed.

However, first time customers get one free size change for each pattern in their first order - please contact us with your order number, email address and which size set you'd like. The size change is only available for the same style pattern as initially purchased.
After using your size change on your first order, you will need to place a new order for any additional size sets.

There are no returns or refunds for orders once placed due to the non-returnable nature of digital products.

Sizing and Measurements

Each pattern is sold in three size sets and each set contains three sizes within it:

  • Small Set: Sizes US 0, 2, 4
  • Medium Set: Sizes US 4, 6, 8
  • Large Set: US 8, 10, 12

Please keep in mind that sizing conventions vary between countries. It's recommended to check your measurements against the size chart, fit notes and finished garment measurements in the product images for each pattern, as the fit varies between styles.

You can find our size guide and garment measurements in the images for each product. Notes on sizing will be specified in the description (ie. whether the pattern has an oversized fit).
If you are still not sure which size to choose, please contact us with your full bust, waist and hip measurements if possible. We are happy to help with any questions regarding the sizing and fit of our items.

Finished garment measurements are provided in the product images. These will be relevant to the pattern style, such as finished bust, waist or hip measurements.
Please contact us if you would like more specific measurements, and let us know which size(s) you'd like to check.

At the moment, it's a one woman show when it comes to the patternmaking, grading and fit modelling. Therefore unfortunately, the size range isn't very inclusive. Larger sizes were tested for the Taylor Crop Top, but the fit, particularly around the bust was not amazing (as the proportion of the body starts to change the more sizes you try to grade). We would prefer not to sell this until we have the capacity to improve it, rather than offer a product that isn't up to an acceptable standard.

If your size isn't currently offered, please feel free to fill in this form - there is the option to remain anonymous. We will use this feedback to continuously review the size range.

Pattern Information

All patterns have seam allowances included, unless otherwise indicated. The most common seam allowance is 1cm (3/8") for standard seams. Some seam allowances will be different depending on the constructions method, for example, french seams will usually be 1.2cm. Seam allowances will be indicated on the pattern itself, or in the instructions.

There are no dedicated projector files at this time. There is an A0 file, which is layered with dashed lines. For some patterns, the pieces are split across two pages as it's designed for paper. Please feel free to contact us if you need more information on the pattern you are interested on purchasing.

The instructions contain:

  • Size charts (metric and imperial)
  • Finished garment measurements (metric and imperial)
  • Printing instructions and assembly guide
  • Suggested cutting lay plans
  • Fabric yield requirements
  • Fabric recommendations
  • Equipment required
  • Step by step sewing instructions
  • Metric measurements are used, but imperial conversions are written for most steps

Some patterns have a YouTube video tutorial, the link will be in the description if it's available.

Please note there is some assumed knowledge with the instructions, so you will need to know how to read and cut a pattern and some sewing terminology. All of this can be easily searched online as you go, or please contact us if you need recommendations for some resources for beginners!

Some information about the pattern file:

  • The pattern is layered so you can select and print your size only with Adobe Acrobat Reader. This is free to download here. Otherwise, you can print all three sizes at once with any other PDF reader. Most computers already have one installed, such as Mac Preview or Microsoft Edge.
  • All seam allowances are included.
  • The pattern lines are in black, with different dashed lines for each size.
  • The pattern pieces are printed as full pieces, but there are notes on which page numbers to print if you want to cut on the fold instead.

We have licenses available for Small Business & Commercial use available here.

Purchase of our regular patterns (which have "personal use" in the description) entitles you to make as many end products as you want for personal use, including gifts for personal friends. A license must be purchased for any non-personal use.

The pattern and instructions are in English only. You can translate PDF documents using Google Lens or Google Translate.

Downloading the Patterns

Once you finish checking out, a button will be displayed on the order confirmation page for you to download the zip file.
You will also receive a confirmation email with a download link. Please allow up to 10 minutes for the email to be received. If you still don't receive it, please check your spam folder (it will be sent from info@lovelessjaime.com) or contact us.

It's best to unzip it on a computer if you have one, as the files are quite large for a phone or tablet. Please try save the zip to a folder first (such as your desktop or files folder) and then try to unzip the file from there. If it still doesn't work, please contact us and let us know which size paper your printer is.
