Choose a Size

The Jasmine Slip Dress is a modern, minimalist style that's perfect for summer, or layered during the colder months. The dress has an a line silhouette, bust darts, a square neckline, full lining and mini length. There are two strap variations - short straps (either non-adjustable, or adjustable with rings and sliders) or long tie-up straps.

Sewing Level
This is project is suitable for beginners with some clothing project experience. Techniques include sewing darts, curved seams, understitching, inserting a lining with a small amount of ease in the neckline and rolled hems.

Fit Notes
This pattern is a relaxed fit - it's recommended to choose the size closest to your measurements. If between sizes, size down.

You Will Need

  • Main fabric
  • Lining fabric
  • Interfacing
  • Matching thread
  • Overlocker/serger (or zig-zag stitch)
  • Basic sewing tools such as fabric scissors, chalk, iron etc.
  • Optional for adjustable straps: 1 pair of 10mm (3/8") rings and sliders

Fabric Recommendations

  • Main fabric: a medium weight non stretch woven linen, hemp or cotton. Ideal weight is 180-250gsm.
  • Lining fabric: a non stretch woven cotton with the same or lighter weight than the main fabric. Ideal weaves include plain, poplin, broadcloth, lawn or voile. Alternatively, you could use the same fabric as the main fabric.

    • The pattern is layered so you can select and print your size only with Adobe Acrobat Reader. This is free to download here. Otherwise, you can print all three sizes at once with any other PDF reader. Most computers already have one installed, such as Mac Preview or Microsoft Edge.
    • All seam allowances are included.
    • The pattern lines are in black, with different dashed lines for each size.
    • The pattern pieces are printed as full pieces, but there are notes on which page numbers to print if you want to cut on the fold instead.
